Rubber Division, ACS announces May learning opportunities

Akron, OH – Rubber Division, ACS courses and webinars are free for Student Members and webinars are free for all Members. These learning opportunities are all online and can be taken from the comfort of your home or office.

The featured courses include: Respiratory Protection; May 6th 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET. This course is designed for anyone working in the rubber industry needing to protect our built-in life support system – your respiratory system. Current times have brought respiratory protection in several shapes and forms to the forefront. There are many elements within the OSHA standard that are commonly overlooked. This course will provide information for immediate practical implementation on the shop floor where the environment may pose hazards to your respiratory system.

Natural Fillers for Rubber Compounds; May 13th 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. ET. This course will detail natural filler properties and how they compare to traditional rubber compound fillers like carbon black. The course will predominantly focus on natural filler performance and cost in rubber compounds with some emphasis on sustainability. This course is intended for industry professionals in research and development, engineering, management or sales and marketing. A technical degree is encouraged but not required.

And Rubber Explained; May 25th 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET. This course was designed for sales and executives working in the rubber industry. Centered around practical explanations and basic fundamentals, this is the perfect course for the non-technical individual.
