Nashotah, WI – Techniplas has successfully completed the acquisition of the major parts of the business from the publicly listed Nanogate Group.
Headquartered in Germany, with locations worldwide, Nanogate is a world leading technology company which produces design oriented, multi-functional components and surfaces primarily for the automotive and industrial industries. The company has an extensive technology and intellectual property portfolio that enables it to offer unique finishing solutions such as radar transparency, translucency, anti-corrosion, scratch-proof and non-stick/easy-to-clean functional properties.
With the Nanogate acquisition, Techniplas will now have manufacturing operations in Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, USA, Mexico, China, Brazil and South Africa, as well as engineering centers in Germany, Switzerland, the U.S., India and China.
Ali El-Haj, CEO of Techniplas, commented, “The acquisition of the core business of Nanogate Group is a highly strategic and transformative transaction for Techniplas. The addition of Nanogate’s unique and proprietary finishing capabilities strategically complements the Techniplas core expertise in injection molding to create one of a few companies of scale with a full suite of molding and finishing capabilities. Together with a consolidated annual turnover in excess of $700 million, the combined enterprise will operate 25 high performance locations and more than 3,500 employees worldwide to serve a global blue chip customer base. Further, the addition of certain electronic finishing capabilities and know-how, as well as the increased international presence of the Techniplas Group, will further accelerate Techniplas Group growth opportunities in the automotive, industrial and consumer markets.”
