Nokian Tyres will ship tire material from its Southeast Tennessee factory to help Flatrock Motorsports Park reinforce safety barriers at its racing circuits in Cumberland County, Tennessee.

The global tiremaker operates a zero-waste-to-landfill factory in Dayton, 32 miles from the motorsports park that will feature multiple FIA-certified racing circuits, as well as world-class events, amenities and entertainment.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), operator of the world’s largest integrated refining and petrochemical complex, has become the first Indian company to chemically recycle plastic waste-based pyrolysis oil into International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC)-Plus certified Circular Polymers. This new innovation is a testimony to RIL’s commitment in reducing plastic waste and supporting Circular Economy in India.

Myers will acquire Signature for a total consideration of approximately $350 million, subject to customary adjustments. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024 and to be neutral to slightly dilutive to US GAAP EPS in 2024, but then deliver EPS accretion of $0.20-$0.30 in 2025, $0.40 – $0.50 in 2026 and additional meaningful EPS accretion beyond 2026. Annualized run-rate operational and cost synergies of $8 million are expected to be fully captured by 2025.

Trelleborg has, through its business area Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, signed an agreement to acquire MNE Group, consisting of the companies Materials Nano Engineering and Materials Nano Solution. The acquisition strategically enhances Trelleborg Sealing Solutions’ semiconductor capabilities since MNE Group is the leading South Korean manufacturer of precision semiconductor seals.

Klas Dahlberg currently holds the position as Head of Business Area NIBE Climate Solutions. He has been with NIBE since 2016 and he has been responsible for NIBE Climate Solutions since 2018. Prior to joining NIBE, he had a successful international career spanning over a 30-year period with the Scania group, with his last position being responsible for the division of Buses & Coaches. Klas has lived and worked in Germany for many years. He holds a M.Sc. in Engineering from Lund University, Sweden.

Liberty Tire Recycling announced the acquisition of “Empire Tire of Edgewater” in Orlando, Florida and “McGee Tire” located in Apopka, Florida. Liberty’s acquisition of Empire and McGee—leading central-Florida scrap tire collectors, graders, and haulers—expands the company’s already robust footprint in the state into the growing central Florida market. Liberty will build on the success of these two companies by bringing its industry-leading approach to collections, processing, and recycling of end-of-life tires.

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. introduces the newest tire to its lineup—the ADVAN dB V553 is a premium comfort tire that will provide a superbly quiet ride throughout its useful lifespan. The ADVAN dB V553 initially will be launched in Japan and Asian markets from February 2024. Yokohama Rubber plans to provide the new tire in 46 sizes, ranging from 225/45R21 95W to 155/65R14 75H.
