Bridgestone added to Dow Jones Sustainability World Index

Bridgestone Corporation announced that it has been selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), a globally recognized sustainability index, for two years in a row and for the fifth time in total. LyondellBasell edges closer to meeting its 2030 renewable energy target

The company signed a long-term PPA for 125 MW of renewable electricity sourced from TotalEnergies’ Brazoria Solar project in Brazoria County, Texas. The 15-year agreement is expected to generate approximately 300,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of solar power annually, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of more than 28,000 American homes. The project is expected to commence operations at the end of 2025. This is the company’s second PPA with TotalEnergies.

In the third-party certified definition of recycled content, Bekaert applies the best available recycled content definitions and traceability of materials. Bekaert’s tire reinforcement has a minimum recycled content of 50 percent for tire cord and 70 percent for bead wire. The rigorous processes at the supplier’s wire rod factory and at the Bekaert steel cord plant allow Bekaert to trace the content in the composition and separate this material from others in all steps of production, storage, and transport. Thus, it is guaranteed that the physical content of the steel cord and bead wire supplied to our customers contain the declared amount of recycled steel.

Hankook to expand TBR line in Hungary

Hankook Tire will invest approximately EUR 540 million in the project with target completion by 2027. The expansion will create about 450 new jobs. The Rácalmás plant is estimated to produce 2,380 units of TBR products daily, with a total annual estimate of 800,000 units upon completion. The Hankook Tire currently has eight production sites around the world with global capacity total of about 102 million tires per year.
