MAXAM Tire announced the promotion of Jeremy Edds to the position of SOTR & National Account Sales Director. Jeremy’s extensive background in the tire and transportation service industry, coupled with his demonstrated leadership and expertise, positions him perfectly to drive growth and success in this critical role.

Jeremy’s journey in the tire industry began at just 17 years old, when he started working in tire and service industry. Over the years, he has amassed a wealth of experience, earning a diploma from AC-Delco automotive technical college and an ASE Master Tech certification. His early hands-on experience led him to various operational and service sales positions, building a strong foundation for his future career.

New TPE materials have been developed with higher levels of post–consumer recyclate (PCR) content. TPEs with 20 to 75% PCR content are available in hardness range 40 to 95 Shore A. Various color options are available, including natural. Compared to equivalent virgin TPE grades, these PCR grades enable a product carbon footprint (PCF) reduction of up to 35%.

Parker Hannifin Corporation announced it has signed an agreement to divest its North America Composites and Fuel Containment (CFC) Division to private investment firm SK Capital Partners. With the completion of this transaction the company will have successfully divested businesses and product lines over the past three years that total nearly $450 million in annual sales. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

Hexpol Compounding Americas has named Mark Ramsey as its Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) effective August 12, 2024. Ramsey will replace Ellen Clunk who departed HCA in early August. Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) is equipping the new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé with the UUHP (Ultra Ultra High Performance) tire Ventus S1 evo. In keeping with the highly dynamic handling characteristics of the all-wheel-drive sports car developing up to 430 kW/585 hp, the tire has a bespoke sports pattern and a modified tread mixture, which guarantee maximum grip even in extreme driving situations. The OEM approval including the “MO1” label on the tire wall marks the first partnership between Mercedes-AMG and Hankook.

Firestone Ag, a division of Bridgestone Americas (Bridgestone), introduces the high-performing Destination Cart radial tire, providing a heavy-duty grain cart tire designed to support soil health and fluctuating cart weights.

“Specifically designed with soil health in mind, Destination Cart features a shallow skid depth and wide lug spacing that creates a flotation effect across the soil,” said Bill Durivage, senior agricultural product strategy manager, Firestone Ag. “The wide footprint minimizes soil compaction, and the shallower, wider-spaced lugs create less soil disturbance as the grain cart carries heavy loads during harvest season.”
