To facilitate the stakeholders’ proper understanding of a comprehensive presentation of Yokohama Rubber’s management strategies and business activities, in 2022 Yokohama Rubber began publishing an integrated report that includes a well-organized presentation of such key financial information as management strategies and business performance as well as important non-financial information regarding the Company’s social, environmental, human resources, and corporate governance policies and activities. Referencing the International Integrated Reporting Framework advocated by the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation and the Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s Guidance for Collaborative Value Creation, the report’s structure and contents place an emphasis on the perspectives of all Yokohama Rubber stakeholders.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company will report third quarter 2024 financial results after market close on Monday, November 4, followed by an investor conference call at 8:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday, November 5.

The Company will publish its results on November 4, in the form of an Earnings Release and an additional presentation on its investor relations website: http://investor.goodyear.com. The following morning, the Company will host an investor call.

Braskem has announced a collaboration with the University of British Columbia (UBC) to explore the feasibility of using an electrochemical reactor to produce methanol from CO, an important intermediate that can be obtained from CO2 Capture and Conversion. The project, which will last one year, is fully funded by Braskem as part of its efforts to explore more sustainable production alternatives.

The Trelleborg Group, through its Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business area, has signed an agreement to acquire the US company CRC Distribution. The company is a specialist distributor in polymer sealing solutions and related value-added services in hydraulics, hydropower, oil and gas, as well as for pumps and compressors.

CRC Distribution is based in Robertsdale, Alabama, in the US. Its business is focused primarily on the domestic market but has recently expanded into the Mexican market as well. The company has steadily built up a strong sales organization and offers an advanced e-commerce solution for seals. CRC Distribution generates annual external sales of just over SEK 170 M.

Pirelli and Bosch have signed a joint development agreement. It aims at jointly creating new software-based solutions and driving functions thanks to sensors integrated into tires, also known as in-tire sensors. For drivers, this means greater control, comfort, and sustainability, as well as improved driving dynamics. Bosch and Pirelli share the vision of working long term and have the intention to explore together enhanced tire signal computing logic as potential input for enhanced vehicle dynamic controllers.

Manique has previously held leadership roles at E.I. DuPont de Nemours and DSM. Most recently, he served as a Global Business Director at Avient Protective Materials. He holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from FEI-Brazil, an MBA from São Paulo University, and a postgraduate degree in materials science from the University of São Paulo-Brazil. Additionally, Manique is a certified Six Sigma Master and Black Belt and has completed the Authentic Leader Development program at Harvard Business School.

Freudenberg Performance Materials is expanding its business in coated technical textiles (Mehler Texnologies). The technical textiles specialist is acquiring major parts of the Heytex Group from the private equity investor Bencis Capital Partners. The acquisition covers the core business of Heytex with three production locations (Germany and China) and all headquarter related functions, including Sales and R&D. The Heytex Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality and functional technical textiles. The company with an international presence is headquartered in Bramsche, Germany. In 2023, the parts of the Heytex Group to be acquired by Freudenberg Performance Materials generated sales of roughly €100 million with a workforce of some 400 employees. The transaction is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.
