Brenntag announced a strategic distribution agreement for the U.S. with Nouryon, a global specialty chemicals leader, enabling the further penetration of the asphalt market and reach in the construction industry.

Along with Nouryon’s global reach and their functional additives, the new product line will provide Brenntag customers an extended portfolio of quality products, particularly anti-stripping agents and emulsifiers for asphalt, and further strengthen the overall partnership with Nouryon.

Brabus exclusively equips two new supercars with the SportContact 7 from Continental. Not only the Brabus 930, but also the tuner’s most powerful supercar to date – the 1,000 hp Brabus ROCKET 1000 “1 of 25” – will be fitted from the factory with the high-performance tire, which optimally combines performance and safety. ENGEL AUSTRIA GmbH has expanded its technical center in St. Valentin, Austria, with one of the largest injection molding machines from its standard portfolio: the duo 5500 combi M. With a clamping force of 55,000 kN, it is by far the largest technical center machine in the world, measuring 32 meters long, 13 meters wide, 6.8 meters high, and weighing 545 tons. ENGEL aims to use this machine to enable technologies and components in completely new dimensions in collaboration with its customers and partners. The extra-large mold space accommodates molds weighing up to 150 tons, with possible shot weights up to 42 kg.

BASF uses certified biomethane at its Ludwigshafen/Germany and Antwerp/Belgium sites as a sustainable alternative to fossil raw materials in its manufacturing process. The approach supports the company’s sustainable transformation by reducing its carbon footprint. The biomethane amount is allocated to the end product using a third-party, globally recognized certification scheme, known as the Biomass Balance approach.

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced that it is supplying its GEOLANDAR X-CV (Pattern No. G057E) tires as original equipment (OE) to Lexus as an available option on the new luxury on-road SUVs, the GX 550. The tire sizes are 265/55R20 113V in North America and 265/55R20 109V in Japan. The 2024 GX 550 was launched in North America in April 2024, and general sales in Japan will begin this autumn.
