In celebration of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week and the 40th year of the Goodyear Highway Hero Award, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company announced the call for entries for the 2023 Highway Hero Award. The Semperit Group has successfully completed the sale of its medical business to the Southeast Asian glove manufacturer HARPS GLOBAL PTE. LTD. After receiving all regulatory approvals, the closing took place as planned on, 31 August 2023, in Vienna. The purchase price for the entire medical business agreed upon signing the contract in December 2022 amounted to EUR 115 million (cash and debt free) and was subject to usual price adjustment mechanisms; the final purchase price will be determined in each case retrospectively based on the interim balance sheet as of the closing date.

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. announced that Y.T. Rubber Co., Ltd. (hereafter, YTRC), a Thai natural rubber processing company of Yokohama Rubber, obtained the Chain of Custody (CoC) certification in July 2023. The CoC certification is provided by FSC®*, an international forest certification organization, for the management of processing and distribution.
