Stahl secures ISCC PLUS re-certification for facilities in Germany and the Netherlands

Stahl, a leading provider of coating technologies, announces the successful re-certification of two manufacturing sites, in Germany and the Netherlands, according to the ISCC PLUS standard. The re-certification of the sites by certifying body TÜV NORD means Stahl can continue to scale up its use of renewable feedstocks across its polyurethane portfolio and beyond. This will enable the company to offer customers more products containing attributed renewable raw materials. The development marks a key step forward in Stahl’s supply chain transparency ambitions, targeting greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions across the value chain.

Michelin receives AutomotiveINNOVATIONS Award 2023 for sustainability

On July 13 in Frankfurt, Michelin received the AutomotiveINNOVATIONS Award 2023 in the ‘Chassis, Car Body & Exterior’ category for its road-approved car tires containing 45% sustainable materials. The award was presented by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the Center of Automotive Management (CAM) which, for over a decade, has conducted studies with manufacturers and suppliers to identify major innovations in the automobile industry. For the occasion, a jury was composed of seasoned figures from the industry, the world of science and consulting, as well as the specialized media.

Arburg USA celebrates company’s 100th anniversary

A capacity crowd was on hand on 15 June 2023 as Arburg USA hosted a regional celebration of 100 years of the Hehl family company. A range of equipment and applications showcased, including fully integrated digital manufacturing technology to help increase molder productivity and efficiency. Outgoing President Friedrich Kanz received special recognition for his years of dedicated service to Arburg.

Yokohama Tire and Robin Shute are King of the Mountain again at Pikes Peak

Both Yokohama Tire and Robin Shute continued their supremacy at the 101st Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Shute helped the tiremaker claim its second straight overall title (and third in the last four years), piloting his 2018 Wolf GB08 TSC-FS fitted with specially produced Yokohama ADVAN® tires – made with increased usage of sustainable materials – to a winning time of 8:40.080 in the Unlimited division. As they did last year, Yokohama drivers dominated, tallying five division wins, 10 podium finishes and five of the top 10 overall finishers in the 12.42.-mile legendary “Race to the Clouds” at Colorado Springs, Colorado.
