At the 2022 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s new Mastercraft® Courser® Trail HD™ tire has ranked in the top three SEMA New Product Award podium positions in the Tire and Related Product category.

Effective immediately, ChemSpec Canada will now distribute Lion Elastomers’ portfolio of Royalene® EPDM, Royaledge® EPDM, Royaltherm® EPDM, Trilene® Liquid EPDM, Duradene® SSBR, Diene® PBR, and Stereon® SBS in the Canadian market.

Effective November 1, 2022, Arisan Kimya San ve Tic. A.S. (Arisan Kimya) will be the official distributor for Lion Copolymer Holdings, LLC (Lion Elastomers) products in Turkey. They will have access to sell the full Lion Elastomers product portfolio in this territory.

Sumitomo Rubber USA, LLC (Sumitomo) is recalling certain Falken Pro G5 CSV tires because of a potential serious safety issue. The recall includes Falken Pro G5 CSV tires in sizes 235/65R17 104V, 235/65R18 106V, 245/50R20 102V and 265/50R20 111V.

David Weisman, L.L.C. introduced its latest Horizontal Conveyorized Special Weave SRG Infrared Clamshell with Modular Clamshell Preheat and Curing Oven Systems designed for customers to cure a wide range of extruded rubber and silicone flat and profile products processed horizontally. The system features ceran glass face, uniform temperature, electric infrared heaters with excellent product coverage, complete controls, an exhaust system, a special weave belt conveyor system and a complete pneumatic clamshell oven enclosure

Wacker Chemie AG finished Q3 2022 with significant sales growth. From July through September, the Munich-based chemical company generated sales of €2,132.2 million. That was 29 percent higher than in the same period last year (€1,658.6 million). Relative to a quarter earlier (€2,174.2 million), sales declined by 2 percent due to reduced demand. Higher selling prices were the main growth driver compared with a year earlier. Sales also benefited from positive exchange-rate effects due to the stronger US dollar. On the other hand, volumes that were somewhat lower overall compared with a year earlier had a dampening effect on sales.
