Zeon Corporation has announced that they are raising the prices for synthetic latex Nipol line. They will increase the price for SBR Latex 0.65 – 1.10 USD/kg (Dry basis) and NBR Latex 0.65 – 0.85 USD/kg (Dry basis) starting July 1st, 2022.

Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. announced that one of their technicians has won the “2022 Industry Mentor of the Year” from CenTiRe, a major tire technology consortium in the United States. Given in recognition of the mentor who has contributed the most when it comes to providing guidance and support for academic researchers, the “Industry Mentor of the Year” was just established by CenTiRe this year. In other words, our own Dr. Toshio Tada (a General Manager in the Material Planning Department of our Material Research and Development HQ) has the distinct honor of being the very first person chosen to receive this prestigious award.

At the International Rubber Conference, which will take place in Nuremberg on June 27 to 30, 2022, the specialty chemicals company LANXESS will be showcasing its broad range of additives for the rubber processing industry (Hall 9, Stand 133). These will include pre-dispersed chemicals, processing promoters as well as vulcanization and filler activators. Eni’s chemical company Versalis has been awarded a Platinum rating by EcoVadis, the agency’s highest rating for corporate social responsibility.

Prosecutors in Finland pressed charges in the fall 2020 for a disclosure offence against Hille Korhonen, Raimo Lind, Inka Mero, Hannu Penttilä and Petteri Walldén, who acted as members of Nokian Tyres plc’s Board of Directors in 2015–2016 and against Ari Lehtoranta, who acted as President & CEO at the same time. The charges related to a stock exchange release given by the company on 29 February 2016, which was allegedly delayed. The prosecutor claimed a corporate fine against Nokian Tyres.

Improvements to the 105,000-square-foot facility include additional molding machine capacity, renovation of office and employee amenity space, “and additional updates that reflect the modern state-of-the-art and highly technical molding services we provide our customers,” said Paul Schmeling, Spectrum’s Senior Vice President of Specialty Molding.
