Hägglunds to showcase direct drive systems at International Elastomer Conference 2022

Mellansel, Sweden – Hägglunds will exhibit a broad range of its industry-leading direct drive hydraulic motors, products and services in booth 419 at the International Elastomer Conference 2022, Oct. 10–13, at the Knoxville Convention Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

Hägglunds will have multiple exhibits that detail the powerful capabilities and advantages of Hägglunds direct drive systems: shaft-mounted hydraulic motors, modular and freely placed drive units and intelligent control.

System displays and booth presentations will detail how Hägglunds systems are ideal for rubber manufacturing applications requiring high torque and low or variable speed. Compact and gearless, Hägglunds hydraulic direct drives have been delivering efficient performance for rubber manufacturing applications for decades.

In booth 419, visitors will connect with Hägglunds technology experts and have the opportunity to learn more about several key systems:

Hägglunds Atom hydraulic motor: Engineered to fit applications where both compact size and high-power density are the optimum requirements. With a maximum torque of up to 13.6 kNm and a specific torque of 40 Nm/bar, the Hägglunds Atom hydraulic motor supplies full torque at speeds up to 400 rpm, enabling it to supply a maximum power of 394 kW that outstrips other motors in its class. It’s the right fit for rubber production spaces and systems that would benefit from power the Hägglunds Atom supplies, bundled in an extremely compact design that withstands harsh environments and mounts right on the shaft.

Hägglunds CB hydraulic direct drive motors: Tough and rugged, with a wide range of sizes and displacements — gives rubber manufacturers a range of choices to size their hydraulic motors to specific machine and production requirements. The Hägglunds CB range is suitable for many heavy-duty applications, such as mixers, roll mills, calendars and extruders. It combines space-saving designs and versatile mounting options with a wide range of sizes and displacements to enable optimization of the drive system when selecting the motor and the hydraulic pump combinations.

“For more than 60 years, every aspect of a Hägglunds solution — from our hydraulic drive systems to the knowledge and service, repair and support we integrate with them for years after they have been installed — delivers and protects the motion our customers depend on,” said Håkan Angerbjörn, Rubber Industry Sector Manager.

IEC attendees can visit the booth to meet one-on-one with Hägglunds technology experts to discuss the unique challenges and requirements they have in rubber applications. Be sure to ask about the comprehensive value Hägglunds Preventative Maintenance programs offer. In addition, experts can provide practical recommendations and new ideas about how Hägglunds technology can help maximize uptime and improve operational efficiency.
