Molecular Rebar Design, LLC (MRD) was awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I contract in November 2023 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to use its carbon nanotubes (MR) to reduce or replace 6PPD in tire compounds, targeting similar/better lifetime of tires with less environmental impact.
