Synthos to reduce ESBR production by 30 percent

Oświęcim, Poland – Unsustainable and unpredictable utility costs have led to an unsustainable market environment for ESBR. Synthos has announced that it can no longer operate its Emulsion-SBR (ESBR) production at full capacity in light of current developments in connection with natural gas supplies from Russia to Europe and the resulting unsustainable and unpredictable utility costs that are a direct result of the geopolitical situation and the Russian invasion. Against this background, the company will reduce ESBR production by approximately 30%, equivalent to around 100,000 MTA, effective immediately.
Synthos has announced that it will reduce ESBR production until further notice, while production of Solution-SBR and Butadiene Rubber production will continue to run as planned.
