ACE Laboratories becomes an approved testing laboratory for the Miami-Dade Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources
Ravenna OH – ACE Laboratories announces that it has earned certification from the Miami-Dade Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources to become an approved testing laboratory for a range of construction industry tests under its ISO/IEC 17025 scope of accreditation.
ACE, one of the country’s leading rubber, silicone, polymer and latex testing & development laboratories, recently announced a major investment in testing capabilities and in-house expertise focused on construction and roofing materials, such as coatings, asphalt, bitumen, crack-sealing solutions, caulks and adhesives.
The Miami-Dade Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources is responsible for a variety of crucial functions and services across the county including building, development, environment and consumer protection. Its responsibilities include the approval of construction materials and products and the most common tests that ACE will perform for Miami-Dade County will be to international standards ASTM D6083, ASTM D6694, ASTM D5147 and ASTM D5869. ACE is actively working toward the addition of several more industry-related test standards to its scope of accreditation.
“This certification is another key part of our commitment to offering the best testing services in the country for the construction industry,” said Erick Sharp, President & CEO of ACE Laboratories. “We are working tirelessly to add more new testing capabilities and equipment over the next few months, including several that very few—if any—other testing labs offer.”
