IRC2023 returns to Beijing China

Haikou, China – International Rubber Conference 2023 (IRC2023) was successfully held in Haikou, China during 7th to 9th Nov. 2023. Following IRC2014 in Beijing Chian, IRC2023 returns to China again.

This year’s main topic is Intelligence and low carbon creat a better future. About 1000 people attend the conference from 20 countries in the world.

Liqun Zhang, the chairman of the conference, academician of the CAE Member and president of South China University of Technology, hosted the opening ceremony, and emphasized the importance of low-carbon and intelligent technologies in worldwide rubber industry. Michael Clayton, Executive Chairman of International Rubber Conference Organization, and Toh Heng Guan, Secretary General of ANRPC, attend the opening ceremony and have address. And related leaders from Chinese government also have address on the opening ceremony.

On 7th Nov., a total of 12 reports were presented at the main venue of the conference. 12 professors and scholars from China and aboard bring their academic achievements in different fields, including rubber technology innovation, bio based materials, special functional materials, natural rubber substitutes and rubber recycling economy. Some result have been changed in to commercial production.

On 8th and 9th November the conference was divided into 4 parallel sessions, with a total of 164 oral reports covering different topics, including Modeling, Simulation and Characterization of Rubber Materials, Digital Design and Intelligent Manufacture of Rubber Products; Functional/intelligent/Bionic Rubbery Materials, Design Synthesis and Chemical Modification of Rubbers/Elasomers, Functional/Intelligent/Bionic Rubber Materials，Reinforcing Materials and Additives for Rubber & their greening, Special Environment Serviced Rubber Materials.

During the conference, there is a rubber exhibition and a wall poster display of conference papers.
