Yokohama Tire announces Bassmaster partnership
Santa Ana, CA – Yokohama Tire is looking to reel in a new sports fan base with its latest sponsorship. The tiremaker announced it is the Presenting Sponsor of the “Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Classic Tailgate Driven by Yokohama Tire.” The event, part of the Bassmaster Classic Expo, is March 21 through March 24 in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma and Grand Lake.
Even Team Yokohama member and veteran racer Travis Pastrana is onboard: he’ll exchange his Yokohama tire-shod off-road truck for a boat as he’ll be fishing in the Pro/Am Tournament alongside professional angler Scott Martin.
“We’re thrilled to come on board as a partner with the renowned Bassmaster Classic Tournament,” said Andrew Briggs, Yokohama Tire’s VP of marketing and product management. “It’s a great opportunity to connect with their passionate and engaged fan base about our wide range of tires. We’re really looking forward to getting out to this year’s event, interacting with both the fans and anglers and showing what Yokohama is all about.”
Yokohama will have an outdoor experiential activation at the event’s tailgate and live set area, which will include an autograph session with Pastrana, tire giveaways, a GEOLANDAR® tire line and vehicle display, including an Ultra 4 race truck driven by Levi Shirley, along with unique truck builds by partners like Complete Customs.
“We are so excited to partner with Yokohama for the Bassmaster Classic tailgate party. This is a fun, new addition to the fan experience at not only the biggest fishing tournament in the world, but the largest consumer show for fishing in the country,” said Chase Anderson, CEO of B.A.S.S. “Our organizations are both driven by a focus on performance and more than 100,000 fishing fanatics will be able to experience our combined successes during the three-day celebration.”
