Zeon expands technical support for synthetic rubber in India

Tokyo, Japan – Zeon Corporation has expanded its technical support capabilities for synthetic rubber products in India. Technical support staff will be dispatched to Zeon’s India-based Group company, Zeon India Private Limited (ZAIN; Haryana, India; Managing Director: Jiro Osawa) to provide timely service for the growing market demand.

Zeon’s technical support for the Indian market will shift from dispatching staff from Singapore and other countries to having full-time local staff with technical expertise in synthetic rubber at ZAIN, ensuring timely technical support, such as advice on compound design, vulcanization conditions, and compound properties for synthetic rubbers, which are in high demand from customers in India. As a result of this expansion in ZAIN’s technical support capabilities, the Zeon Group now operates six global technical support bases for elastomer products, with bases in Japan, the United States, Germany, China, and Singapore, enabling it to respond with precision to the needs of customers in each region.

Zeon has enjoyed growing demand for its elastomer products, centered on specialty synthetic rubbers, used in parts for internal
combustion engines, as well as parts for the expanding area of EVs and e-bikes. India, which has the world’s largest population, is
experiencing rapid economic growth, with a GDP forecast to become the world’s third largest by 2027 and continuing expansion
expected in the volume of automobile production.
With its preeminent position in specialty synthetic rubbers, Zeon will continue to meet societal expectations through the development
and sale of unique products that only Zeon can offer, as well as the provision of technical services and other solutions that leverage
the polymer technologies it has cultivated over the years.
