RDAbbott to host free webinar on Dynamic Property Advantages of Thermax N990 in rubber compounding

Garden Grove, CA – On Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (ET) RDAbbott will host a free webinar titled “Dynamic Property Advantages of Thermax N990 in Rubber Compounding” presented by Ed Norton from Cancarb.

During this live event, you’ll discover how Cancarb’s Thermax N990 medium thermal carbon black stacks up against other types of carbon black. With its large particle size and low structure, Thermax N990 can replace furnace grade carbon black in rubber formulations to improve dynamic properties and increase total filler loading (extend the compound) while maintaining compound hardness. This makes Thermax N990 an ideal choice for applications that require strong dynamic properties, such as bushings, engine mounts, bump stops, and other NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) components.

Ed Norton is the Technical Service Manager for Cancarb, where he conducts studies on thermal carbon black and provides technical service and support to the marketplace. He joined Cancarb as a Technical Marketing Representative in 2018 after spending seven years with Alpha Technologies, where he worked as an Applications Specialist and provided technical support and training on rheometers. Ed earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Polymer Engineering from the University of Akron.
