Brenntag inaugurates its largest solar park in Latin America

Querétaro, Mexico – Brenntag recently inaugurated a solar park at its site in Querétaro, Mexico. This project stands out as Brenntag’s largest solar park in Latin America and one of the ten largest globally. It also marks an important milestone in the company’s path towards its goal of 100% energy consumption from renewable sources by 2025.

Congratulations to the Mexican and Latin American team for realizing this future-oriented, sustainable project,” said Christian Kohlpaintner, CEO Brenntag SE, who was present at the ceremonial opening of the facility.

The Querétaro solar park, Brenntag’s largest green energy project in Latin America, currently has 441 solar panels that produce 565 watts per panel, generating a total of 393 MWh/a. This ensures a completely self-sustaining energy generation for the site. With this initiative, Brenntag estimates to reduce CO2 emissions by 167 tons, which is equivalent to reforesting around 2,750 trees.
