The Rubber Division adds to their 2025 training schedule

Akron, OH – When it comes to rubber industry education, the Rubber Division is your best resource. Their training opportunities cover a wide variety of important topics and are offered all throughout the year. Webinars are free for Rubber Division, ACS Members and all Rubber Division, ACS courses are free for undergraduate Student Members (discount for masters & graduate Student Members). All courses are held virtually with the exception of a few scheduled to be held at partner locations.

TRAINING PASS: You can purchase a training pass to attend all our virtual courses and webinars for ONE YEAR for ONE PRICE. Individual passes, as well as company level passes with tiers of up to 50 trainees are available.

CEUs: You are eligible to receive continuing education units (CEUs) for many of our courses through our partnership with the University of Akron. To receive the CEUs, attendees must attend the course live and promptly complete the survey evaluation after the course. If CEUs are available, they are noted in the course descriptions.

Self-paced Training provides flexible and easy access means that you can enroll anytime and complete your studies in your own home and at your own pace. There is no time limit to complete the online courses and you can start at any time for Basic Rubber Technology; Intermediate Rubber Technology; and Advanced Rubber Technology.

Advance your Career by Enrolling in UMass Lowell Elastomers Courses this Spring. UMass Lowell is offering two (2) courses in Spring 2025 as part of the—100% Online—Graduate Certificate Program in Elastomeric Materials. Rubber Division, ACS Members are eligible for a 10% tuition discount on these courses.

Design for Elastomers – This course covers the basics of thermoset and thermoplastic elastomer product design. Topics include mechanical behavior, large deformation structural analysis, design for manufacturability, performance limitations, and end use applications for elastomers and assembly considerations.

Processing of Elastomers – This course covers the basics of elastomer processing. Topics include mixing, Rheology, extrusion, injection molding, compressing molding, and curing as it applies to elastomers.
