Xuansheng successfully completes first trial run using Moldex3D technology

Tianjin, China – Tianjin Xuansheng Technology Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-funded enterprise that aims to provide its clients with outstanding molding one-stop services and solutions. The story behind Xuansheng tells their determination to evolve from a traditional mold factory into a leading one-stop service provider. Through their collaboration with ACMT Smart Molding and Moldex3D, Xuansheng gradually understands the value of smart manufacturing and plans to realize it.

In 2020, the General Manager of Xuansheng, Xin-Rong Liu, participated in Moldex3D’s conference held in Taiwan, where he realized intelligent design and high-quality production are inevitable trends in the mold industry. Liu met and talked with Ming-Hong Tsai, the President of ACMT, and Zheng-Cong Chen, the Editor-in-Chief of ACMT. It was at that moment that Liu decided to implement smart manufacturing, leading Xuansheng towards achieving initial mass production.

With ACMT’s guidance, Xuansheng kept three key factors in mind: Intelligent Design, Smart Manufacturing, and Intelligent Injection. Connecting each factor necessitated the use of digital tools — in this case, Moldex3D. The analyses provided by Moldex3D could greatly assist them in making proper modifications to the parameters related to intelligent design and injection.

In Xuansheng’s pursuit of producing high-quality parts in the first trial, they put great emphasis on using Moldex3D to conduct various analyses, ranging from material testing and cold runner design to mold tryout parameters, etc. By doing so, Xuansheng is able to detect potential problems before manufacturing. The following case serves as an example that details how Moldex3D helped Xuansheng produce high-quality parts.

The product of this case was a mounting bracket for light, and one of the requirements for this product was the flatness of the base. Xuansheng’s client specifically requested that the flatness of the base had to be less than 0.76mm. During the mold design process, Xuansheng decided to use Moldex3D to validate gate locations, cold runner designs, and injection molding process, etc. After conducting the analyses, Xuansheng reduced the flatness to 0.445mm, and the final result was 0.407mm, achieving an even better figure and allowing them to produce qualified parts in the first trial.

Having a firm belief in offering the best product to their clients, Xuansheng now uses Moldex3D to conduct analyses towards every mold. In this way, Xuansheng not only spends less time modifying the mold but also optimizes the design of gate, runner, cooling, and mold tryout parameters. This helps save valuable manpower, resources, and time. To this day, Xuansheng has realized that Industry 4.0 doesn’t simply involve hardware upgrades in mold processing equipment; it also has revolutionized the way of design thinking and the use of design tools. The benefits that smart manufacturing brings will lead Xuansheng to a thriving future.
