Next WORD Conversation featured guests are Chyna Mosley and Haley Dobbyn

Akron, OH – Join the Rubber Division, ACS, for a WORD Conversation on December 18, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. ET with featured young professionals Chyna Mosley and Haley Dobbyn. This WORD Conversation begins with open networking for approximately 10 minutes followed by a conversation with featured guests Chyna Mosley, Quality Engineer – The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, and Haley Dobbyn – Plastics Engineering PhD student, along with Sam Cottrill – Online Content Editor/Reporter for Rubber News, moderating. This event will be held via Zoom and registration is free.

Chyna Mosley – China graduated from The Ohio University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. She currently serves as a Mixing Compounder at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in the Fayetteville, NC manufacturing plant and is responsible for quality control of consumer tire casing compounds. Chyna is a member of the American Society of Quality and has been active in Rubber Division, ACS for many years – currently serving on their Young Professionals Committee.

Haley Dobbyn – Haley Dobbyn is currently a first-year Plastics Engineering PhD student at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She graduated in May of 2024 from Ferris State University with her Bachelor of Science in Plastics Engineering Technology along with a minor in Rubber Engineering Technology. Her current research focus at UML is on 3D printing of thermoset elastomers. In addition, she serves as the President of the Rubber Division, ACS Student Chapter at UML as well as on the Rubber Division, ACS Young Professionals Committee. Haley looks forward to having a career in the rubber industry and is hoping to bring more students into the industry.
