Rubber Division announces September learning opportunities

Akron, OH – The Rubber Division, ACS announces the following September learning opportunies.

September 1-2 – Course: Rubber Formulating 1.0. This will be the first in-person course in a long time. Join colleagues in Ravenna, OH, at ACE Products & Consulting to get some real life interactive experience. The first day will consist of training needed to be able to develop a simple compound and mix procedure. At the end of day one, a compound specification will be given to the class along with a list of available raw materials. They will have a half hour to prepare a formulation and processing instructions. During the second day, ACE will mix and test each formulation submitted to see how close they got to meeting the specification. Attendees will review why each compound performed as they did and identify potential modifications to make. A cured sample sheet from each person’s compound will be sent to them as a souvenir.  

September 8 – Course: Hazardous Communication. Lack of a ‘Hazardous Communication Program’ has been one of the top five OSHA violations for the last several years. Some people do not realize there have been several revisions to the program. This course will give the participant an understanding of the current HAZCOM Globally Harmonized System.

September 17 – Course: Pre-incident Planning. This course is centered on the before an incident happens. Several OSHA standards as well as other likely subscribed guidelines will be covered. Tabletop exercises hit it all home in the afternoon of the course.

September 21 – Webinar: The Ins and Outs of Cybersecurity Risk Management

September 23 – Webinar: Essentials of PPE Selection

September 28 – Course: Rubber Explained. Join the Rubber Division for one of its most popular courses. It was designed for sales and executives working in the rubber industry. Centered around practical explanations and basic fundamentals, this is the perfect course for the non-technical individual.
