Mechanical Rubber materials certify to AMS3197 and AMS3198

Warwick, NY – Two of Mechanical Rubber’s open cell neoprene sponge materials have recently passed Aerospace Material Standards (AMS) testing. Compound MR35-141A-BK-06 meets the requirements for AMS3197, soft density with a Compression Deflection range of 1-4 PSI, tested at 25% compression, and MR35-142-BK-05 meets the requirements for AMS3198, medium density with a Compression Deflection range of 6-13 PSI tested at 25% compression.

Open Cell sponge material is useful in many applications for non-skid, gasketing, seals, cushioning, vibration and sound insulation. With a performance temperature of -40°F to +176°F, this material is a top choice for Aerospace/Defense engineering.
