Cabot to raise prices globally for specialty carbons and compounds
Boston, MA — Cabot Corporation said it will increase prices globally for products sold by its specialty carbons and specialty compounds businesses, citing rising costs and market conditions.
The company said price increases for carbon black products sold by its Specialty Carbons business will be up to 20% depending on the product and region. The adjustments will apply globally and will take effect according to customer contract terms.
Separately, Cabot said it will also raise prices by up to 20% for products sold by its Specialty Compounds business worldwide. The company is also implementing an ongoing surcharge, which will be reviewed regularly.
Cabot said the pricing actions are intended to address continued increases in operating costs, including raw materials, energy, logistics and other supply-chain expenses affecting its global manufacturing network.
The Boston-based company said the measures are designed to maintain reliable supply and support continued investment in its product portfolio and manufacturing operations.
