RDAbbott to participate in July 15 webinar on Liquid Silicone Rubber Processing

Garden Grove, CA — RDAbbott announced it will participate in a free industry webinar on liquid silicone rubber (LSR) processing scheduled for July 15.

The one-hour webinar, hosted by Sodick & Friends, will take place from 1-2 p.m. CST and will feature presentations from silicone industry experts. Craig Lustek, RDAbbott’s LSR application engineer, will serve as one of the presenters.

The session will include more than 30 minutes of pre-recorded, in-cell training followed by a live question-and-answer segment.

Topics to be covered include establishing LSR processing parameters for complete part fill, conducting and analyzing short-shot studies at multiple temperatures, evaluating shot-to-shot consistency through part-weight validation, and understanding the role of injection speed, temperature and fill strategies in molding performance.

Additional discussion topics include troubleshooting common LSR processing challenges, tooling design considerations and scientific molding and validation best practices.

The webinar is being presented through a collaboration among Sodick IMM by Plustech Inc., Nexus Elastomer Systems Inc., Roembke Manufacturing & Design Inc., RDAbbott and NovationSi.

Registration is required, though participation is free and open to interested attendees.
