ChampCar Endurance Racing Series makes BFGoodrich its official tire partner

Greenville, SC – BFGoodrich Tires has just been named official tire partner of the ChampCar Endurance Racing Series.

This partnership provides BFGoodrich with a platform to showcase some of its latest products, with a focus on the g-Force Rival+ tire that is tuned specifically for endurance racing. This tire is listed on ChampCar’s approved tire “whitelist” and is designed to meet the all-around performance, consistency and longevity expectations of modern grassroots endurance racers.

As part of this new relationship, the ChampCar Endurance Racing Series and its racers will receive a variety of benefits. All racers will have access to a rebate program for BFGoodrich tires and will enjoy special opportunities at select races to access BFGoodrich resources, including the recently launched BFGoodrich Performance Driving Guide, co-authored by brand ambassador Ross Bentley.

In the fall of 2025, BFGoodrich launched the g-Force Rival+ tire as a complement to the g-Force Rival S. The Rival+ tire features:

A new rubber compound designed to provide consistency lap after lap, giving endurance-based track enthusiasts long-lasting performance and reliable wet-handling capability.
A reinforced internal structure engineered to reduce sidewall flex for instant steering response.
There are 14 sizes of the Rival+ tire currently available.

Team T/A rides again
BFGoodrich’s “Team T/A” has returned in the form of an endurance racing team piloted by BFGoodrich employees and featured guest drivers participating exclusively in the ChampCar Endurance Racing Series.

The team debuted at Daytona in April with Grassroots Motorsports Magazine as their guest, finishing 16th out of 100 cars despite encountering a few minor mechanical issues. The team is eager to showcase the capabilities of the g-Force Rival+ tire and will race Sebring in late June, VIR in August and Circuit of the Americas in December.

During the original program, which had its heyday in the 1970s-’90s, BFGoodrich experts traveled to tracks across the country in BFGoodrich-branded tractor-trailers to support grassroots racers with driving advice, mechanical tips and tire support.

BFG is back!
In recent years, BFGoodrich’s on-road racing heritage, built off the iconic Radial T/A tire, has been overshadowed by the brand’s off-road product development and desert racing success.

But BFGoodrich’s ultra-high performance days aren’t over. As BFG’s UHP brand manager puts it, “BFG is officially BACK when it comes to pavement and grassroots motorsports, and we’re just getting the tires warm! This is about sustained momentum and a renewed focus on the track that you’re going to see more and more.”
