DKT 2027 opens call for papers ahead of Nuremberg conference

Frankfurt, Germany – The international rubber community will gather in Nuremberg, Germany, from June 28 to July 1, 2027, for DKT 2027, with organizers inviting researchers and industry professionals to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations.

The German Rubber Society (DKG) said the conference will address developments across rubber and elastomer research and development, including applications, material testing, raw materials, sustainability, processing, simulation and modeling, energy, artificial intelligence and tires. Thermoplastic elastomer presentations will be grouped within a dedicated TPE Forum.

The call comes as the rubber industry faces rapid development in digitalization, artificial intelligence, advanced materials, automation, sustainable raw materials and circular-economy concepts, according to the DKG. Organizers said the event is intended to promote knowledge exchange and collaboration across the rubber value chain.

Abstracts for oral and poster presentations must be submitted online by Oct. 31, 2026. Abstracts are limited to 400 words, and the program committee will select presentations based on the submissions. Authors will be notified of decisions in January 2027.

Oral presentations will run for 20 minutes, followed by five minutes for discussion. Posters must be prepared in DIN A0 format. Digital copies of presentation slides and posters will be made available to conference attendees. The conference language will be English.

Speakers and poster authors also will be eligible for reduced four-day conference tickets. The fee for participants from industry is €595, while participation is free for authors from research institutes and universities. The reduced rate is limited to one ticket per oral or poster presentation.

The conference will be held at Exhibition Center Nuremberg, NCC Mitte. Organizers expect more than 100 technical presentations and more than 300 companies at the accompanying trade fair. A Science Campus will also provide universities and research institutes with an opportunity to present their work.

DKT 2027 is organized by the Deutsche Kautschuk-Gesellschaft e.V. Additional information and abstract submission details are available through the DKT 2027 website.
