ACE Laboratories and Abdallah Consulting launch Vericarb

Ravenna, OH – ACE Laboratories, an independent ISO/IEC 17025-accredited polymer testing laboratory, and Abdallah Consulting, LLC, a leading advisory firm in the tire pyrolysis industry, have announced the launch of VericarbSM, an independent certification program designed to verify that materials produced and marketed as recovered carbon black (rCB) meet the program’s defined criteria for rCB.

Recovered carbon black – produced from end-of-life tires through pyrolysis – has emerged as a key sustainable alternative to virgin carbon black in rubber and polymer applications. But as a newer market, it has lacked the standardization and independent verification that consumers, compounders, and investors rely on in established material supply chains. VericarbSM was created to close that gap.

Certification under the VericarbSM program includes independent material characterization and rubber performance data, giving all stakeholders a consistent, credible basis for evaluating rCB products.

For producers, VericarbSM accelerates speed to market. Certification provides independent product performance data in the customer’s language, clarifies the connection between material specifications and real-world performance, and supports higher and faster approval rates with prospective buyers.

For consumers of rCB, the program means more capable suppliers. Compounders and manufacturers spend less time evaluating unknown materials, see a higher chance of first-time materials approval, and know QA requirements before supply begins.

For investors, VericarbSM delivers confidence – making addressable volumes easier to size and reducing test failures that delay revenue generation.
