Specialty Silicone Products introduces new EMI fluorosilicone

Ball Spa, NY – Specialty Silicone Products (SSP) is introducing a new EMI fluorosilicone and announcing that this high-durometer, electrically-conductive elastomer is now part of the Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) Qualified Product List (QPL) for MIL-DTL-83528, Type C.

The new product, SSP-2573-75, uses fluorosilicone as the base material and is filled with silver-plated copper particles. SSP-2573-75 is capable of 110 dB plane wave shielding effectiveness at 10 GHz, has a continuous use temperature range of -55°C to +125°C , and resists solvents and jet fuels. Applications include EMI gaskets for military and aerospace applications.
