IISRP Board of Directors appoints Mr. Bobby Rikhoff as Acting President International

Houston, TX – As recently announced, the 2022 Annual General Meeting of the IISRP will now be held in Lisbon, Portugal. The 2023 AGM is scheduled for Boston, Massachusetts. The IISRP Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Bobby Rikhoff as Acting President International, and he will serve until the Lisbon meeting. At that meeting, the Board of Directors will vote to elect Mr. Rikhoff as President International, to hold office until the AGM in Boston.

A native of Baton Rouge, LA, Mr. Rikhoff earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Louisiana State University. In 1995, he began his career at the former Uniroyal Chemical Company, now Lanxess, where he held several increasingly senior positions supporting its polymer and rubber chemicals businesses worldwide. In 2007, Chemtura sold the Geismar, LA facility to Lion Copolymer, LLC., and Mr. Rikhoff began his relationship with Lion elastomers by assuming the position of Plant Manager of their eSBR / NBR facility, subsequently holding different positions.

Through the sale of Lion Copolymer’s Baton Rouge facility to East-West Copolymer, he was promoted to Vice-President (VP) of Operations. Mr. Rikhoff rejoined the Lion team in 2018, now called Lion Elastomers, after the closure of East-West Elastomer. Upon rejoining Lion Elastomers, he assumed the role of VP of its Texas business. Starting in January 2022, Mr. Rikhoff took on a new role within Lion Elastomers as VP of Venture Projects.
