AGC to feature durable, versatile Fluoroelastomers at IEC 2024

Exton, PA – Fluon+™ flexible AR melt processable compounds are resistant to fuels and chemicals, exhibit toughness and flexibility, and have a wide service temperature range. These customizable compounds are readily available as a highly suitable replacement for THV.

Fluon+™ flexible AR melt processable compounds are based on a modified ETFE copolymer and a unique elastomer. These grades maintain many of the desirable properties of ETFE, like excellent heat and chemical resistance, but are more flexible than other fluoropolymers. These materials are used in many applications including wire and cable jackets, films and sheets, tubing and pipe, and electronic components.

AGC Chemicals Americas will feature Fluon+™ flexible AR melt processable compounds at the 2024 International Elastomer Conference, booth 421, September 10–12 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Also at the event, AGC will introduce the new AFLAS® FFKM PM-1200, which is a low-viscosity, low-Tg (-9 °C), peroxide-cured grade, as well as pre-compound CP-4010, an R&D grade available for sampling.

The company will also showcase:

AFLAS® fluoroelastomer grades 400E and 600X FEPM that are used in components exposed to corrosive chemicals and high-pressure and -temperature environments in a variety of applications.

AFLAS® 100S, 100H and 150P FEPM grades that achieved FDA compliance for food contact applications and use in materials designed for FDA temperature conditions A–H.

AFLAS® PM-1100 and PM-3000 resins developed for use in demanding applications in the oil & gas, chemical process, industrial equipment, food handling, pharmaceutical, heavy-duty diesel and automotive industries.

AFLAS® FFKM PM-3500 perfluorinated elastomer, which provides exceptional high-temperature, high-pressure performance to equipment parts that operate in the most challenging conditions. It is also plasma resistant, so it can be used in the etching process of semiconductor manufacturing.

AFLAS® PM-5000 and PM-5500 grades, which can support a wide range of applications depending on needs including high-temperature durability and O2 and NF3 plasma resistance.
