Apollo Tyres introduces radials for backhoe loaders and defense applications at the BAUMA ConExpo India

Gurgaon, India – Apollo Tyres Ltd for the first time showcased radial tires for the backhoe loaders, Apollo Terra Pro 1045, and another all-steel radial tires for defense applications and multipurpose trucks, Apollo Terra MPT 1, at the Bauma ConExpo India 2024, an international trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines and construction vehicles.

The Apollo Terra Pro 1045 is the first steel belted radial tire for backhoe loader application in India, which is being introduced for use in toughest underfoot conditions. This tire has been developed basis the customer feedback on need for puncture resistance, traction requirement in both the direction and varied underfoot condition. The Apollo Terra Pro 1045 offers several advantages, especially lower slippage in wet and dry conditions, due to its unique tread pattern design with multiple biting edges and self-cleaning ability.

The lower rolling resistance of Apollo Terra Pro1045 tires results in better fuel efficiency due to the radial construction and stable hexagonal block design. The tailor-made compound with high wear and cut resistant properties provide higher tire mileage. The flexible sidewalls, as compared to bias tires, allows the tire to better absorb road shocks and vibrations, providing a smoother ride. The steel belt under the tread enhances the tires ability to resist penetration from sharp objects on the road.

Apollo Terra MPT 1, an all-steel radial tire, is commonly used in defense applications and multipurpose trucks, due to its exceptional durability, reliability and performance in challenging and high-stress environments. The tire features a self-cleaning tread pattern which excels in off-road conditions, while being silent and comfortable on highways. A specialized and durable compound ensures traction and life with enhanced wear resistance. The all-steel radial carcass construction ensures superior durability and stability when traversing varied inclines and loose surfaces including stones, soil and sands while still providing a comfortable and quiet ride when used on the road.

Apollo Terra, which is for self-loading machines, mobile concrete mixers and compact wheel loader, has been engineered for superior performance on the toughest terrains. Apollo Terra SS-5, which has been developed for heavy-duty applications of skid steer machines. The flatter tread profile ensures optimal load distribution, while the interlocking tie bars and higher NSD offer superior puncture protection and life. With its heavy-duty construction and tailor-made compound, Apollo Terra SS-5 excels in resisting cuts and chips, making it perfect for harshest conditions like scrap handling.

Apollo Terra MT is the next generation product for 60 – 70 ton dumper trucks, with enhanced durability and superior performance. Designed with durable carcass and cooler compound, it sustains the extreme heavy load application and delivers exceptional mileage. The higher contained air volume increases the load carrying capacity, while the higher rubber in the wearing zone offers improved mileage.
