Arlanxeo announces sustainability milestone

The Hague, the Netherlands – ARLANXEO announced a milestone on our sustainability journey at the DKT exhibition and conference in Nuremberg, Germany. With the ISCC PLUS certifications of the EPDM plant in Geleen, The Netherlands, the Butyl plant in Singapore and the EVM plant in Dormagen, Germany, ARLANXEO is pleased to offer a rapidly expanding range of sustainable synthetic rubber products under its Eco label.

ARLANXEO currently produce Eco grades for Keltan®, X_Butyl®, standard Levapren® and Levamelt®. Looking ahead, ARLANXEO’s Sustainability Roadmap reflects our commitment to gaining ISCC PLUS (re)certification for all ARLANXEO plants prior to 2026. Upon completion, ARLANXEO will offer the market one of the broadest portfolios of synthetic rubber based on mass balanced feedstock.

“The ISCC PLUS certification demonstrate to customers that ARLANXEO’s certified products meet high sustainability standards – from the procurement of certified raw materials to the transportation of the Eco rubber grades,” says Niels van der Aar, Global Head of Sustainability at ARLANXEO. “Our ISSC PLUS certified plants meet strict certification requirements, including, amongst others, the traceability of raw materials, and compliance with the ISCC standards. These certifications underline our commitment to sustainable processes along the entire value chain. We are committed to systematically rolling out the ISCC PLUS approach to all of our production facilities worldwide.”

“With the launch of ARLANXEO’s Eco portfolio, we are making solid progress towards our sustainability goals. We continue to increase the proportion of renewable and recyclable materials in our portfolio as we strive to be the partner of choice for sustainable synthetic rubber. Customers can rest assured that the characteristics and performance of ARLANXEO’s sustainable rubber products are identical to the existing rubber products” said Bas van Gemert, Regional Head of Sales EMEA.
