The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced that on March 14 it held its 10th Panel Discussion on Biodiversity as an online event. Panelist Mr. Tokutaro Nakai, former Vice-Minister of the Environment and Executive Advisor to Nippon Steel Corporation, and moderator Dr. Tetsuya Kitazawa, Director of Ecology Path Inc. and Lecturer at Edogawa University, actively exchanged views with Yokohama Rubber employees.

NASA recently announced that the Moon RACER team, of which Michelin is a part, has been selected for the Phase 1 feasibility study of the ARTEMIS project.

This project, entitled “Lunar Terrain Vehicle Phase 1 Feasibility Study” , aims to design a lunar vehicle capable of operating in extreme conditions on the Moon and for 10 years.

Fort Worth’s City Council has authorized an agreement with All American Tire Recyclers for tire recycling and disposal services for up to $180,000 annually.

The Environmental Services Department approached the Purchasing Division to procure an agreement for tire recycling and disposal services to provide equipment, personnel and tools necessary to transport, process and recycle or dispose of scrap tires.

The company will highlight a wide range of compounds for different sectors and industries. These include innovative compounds for hydrogen applications, specially developed compounds for the food industry, the KRAIBURG LEP erosion protection film for wind turbines and the KRAIBURG Pure compound series for the drinking water sector. In addition, the company will showcase its proven expertise in rubber hybrid materials.

Hankook Tire announces a series of sales team appointments at its North America Headquarters in Nashville, Tenn. to drive further growth and strengthen its U.S. market presence. These appointments include: Gabriel Leventis as Director of New Channel Development; Steve Johnson as Director of Sales, Northeast Region; John Lesnak as Director of Sales, Midwest Region; and Ken Everhart as Director of Corporate Accounts, North American Commercial Sales.

Representatives of the Consortium of Rubber Sector Actors of Liberia (CORSAL) and various progressive forces have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Liberian government’s ban on the exportation of unprocessed rubber. The ban, enforced by Executive Order #124 issued in December 2023, has left the rubber sector in disarray, causing significant financial losses and threatening the livelihoods of many Liberians.

The Latin American Association of Rubber Technology (SLTC) and the Querétaro Automotive Cluster announce the 3rd Rubber Technology Symposium, to be held from August 7 to 8 at the Convention Center of the Hacienda Jurica Hotel in Querétaro, Mexico.
