Fort Worth announces tire recycling contract with All American Tire Recyclers

Ft. Worth, TX – Fort Worth’s City Council has authorized an agreement with All American Tire Recyclers for tire recycling and disposal services for up to $180,000 annually.

The Environmental Services Department approached the Purchasing Division to procure an agreement for tire recycling and disposal services to provide equipment, personnel and tools necessary to transport, process and recycle or dispose of scrap tires.

The agreement begins Oct. 1.

All American Tire Recyclers is a 100% green tire recycling facility based in Fort Worth. The company’s recycled rubber products work to support sustainable asphalt roads, provide green energy solutions and become a variety of recycled tire-derived products.

There is no curbside collection for tires in Fort Worth. However, residents may take discarded tires to one of the four drop-off stations for free recycling or safe disposal. Households are limited to dropping off four passenger vehicle tires every six months.
