Brenntag opens new North American office in Houston
Houston, TX – Brenntag opened a new local office in Houston, TX that consolidates a number of previously dispersed workplaces in the greater Houston market.
The office is designed to be a collaborative workplace, helping to foster an open working culture that respects and recognizes the benefits of having a variety of perspectives and brings together teams in one space that have previously been housed in different locations. The new office location houses multiple regional organizations and departments including both North and Latin America, Brenntag Essentials and Brenntag Specialties.
“We are so excited to provide our Houston-area employees, and those travelling to Houston, with such a collaborative, contemporary, and engaging workspace,” said Don Marshall, Senior Director Human Resources, North America. “This is the first new office we are opening after the pandemic, and it is an example of how we have rethought the workplace and employee experience to maximum effectiveness in a more flexible and autonomous business environment.”
The entire design was implemented with sustainability aspects and energy efficiency in mind. The building core and shell are rated Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold, the interiors are rated LEED platinum, and the entire building is Energy Star rated. This is completely in line with Brenntag’s new Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, targeting all new buildings for a recognized sustainability certification.
“The new corporate office in Houston will integrate the different functional teams and stimulate the work environment for our employees. The new, flexible spaces provide a leap to technological modernity and labor interaction with a variety of environments. We took great care to design this for the well-being of our workers and high levels of safety, which are core values of Brenntag’s operations. With this new step, Brenntag is among the best options in our industry to develop talent in all areas.” German Torres, Regional President, Brenntag Essential, Latin America.
