Lanxess receives excellent sustainability ratings

LANXESS has achieved top positions in several sustainability ratings. In the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Europe, the specialty chemicals company ranked first in the “Chemicals” category with 79 out of 100 points. Ansell launches “Scientists for Sustainability” program in the US

Ansell has partnered with California Life Sciences, an advocacy organization in the US, to launch a new program designed to educate and inspire the scientific community to adopt more sustainable choices. “Scientists for Sustainability” aims to build a network of scientists focused on sustainable practices, with particular focus on reducing PPE waste that goes to landfill. The first event was held on Tuesday, 3 December, at the Birch Aquarium in San Diego, California, and included a private aquarium tour, networking opportunities, and an education fair about the impact of PPE and other plastic waste on ocean ecosystems.

Heytex Group core business now part of Freudenberg

The antitrust authorities in Germany, Austria and Poland have approved the acquisition of Heytex core business by Freudenberg Performance Materials Holding GmbH, the parent company of Mehler Texnologies. Heytex core business with three production locations (in Germany and China) and all headquarter-related functions will therefore become part of the newly-formed specialist for coated technical textiles.

Datwyler launches transformation program «ForwardNow»

Yokohama Rubber to launch new ADVAN V61 tire for premium SUVs

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced the launch of its new premium SUV tire, the ADVAN V61, which will be sold as a new category product under its global flagship tire brand ADVAN. The new product, which primarily targets the rapidly growing midsize to large premium SUV market, will be available successively in markets around the world, excluding North America, from February 2025. Yokohama Rubber plans to offer 17 sizes of the ADVAN V61 ranging from 17 to 22 inches, including tires to be installed as original equipment (OE) on new vehicles.
