Zeon’s program certifies selected, widely used Zeon products that significantly address social issues related to achieving SDGs and thereby reinforce the company’s sustainability management by focusing on the development, manufacturing, and sales of these products as part of its responsibility to advance society and secure sustainable corporate growth.

The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) and its member companies stand in support of  H.R.8578, the Retreaded Truck Tire Jobs, Supply Chain Security and Sustainability Act introduced by U.S. Representatives Darin LaHood (R-IL) and Emilia Strong Sykes (D-OH). The bill would incentivize investments in retreaded commercial tires by providing tax credits for fleet purchases of U.S. retreaded commercial tires.

The tires being supplied as OE for MAZDA CX-70 were developed by utilizing specialized tuning to match their tread pattern, profile, and tire structure to the vehicle characteristics, while also using Yokohama Rubber’s proprietary HAICoLab, an AI-based development framework that aims to foster new discoveries and digital innovation by merging human inspiration and creativity with AI’s enormous data processing capability. To achieve the highly quiet ride, an optimal pitch sequence was obtained using evolutionary computation (genetic algorithms), one of the technologies incorporated in HAICoLab. The innovative technologies applied in development of the tires are based on new knowledge obtained by collecting actual data and virtual data generated by simulations and then using AI’s predict, analyze and search functions.

Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) supplies the Ventus Prime 3 as the original equipment tire (OET) for the Mitsubishi Xpander, a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) from Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.

WACKER has acquired the manufacturing assets and know-how of U.S.-based Bio Med Sciences Inc. to expand its expertise and business in silicone-coated healthcare products. A corresponding purchase agreement was signed yesterday between WACKER and the Pennsylvania-based company. As part of the acquisition, a majority of Bio Med Sciences’ workforce will also move to WACKER
