CSRC partners with SHEICO to establish largest eco-friendly carbon black plant in North America

The board of directors of CSRC group approved a plan to partner with Eco Infinic Co., Ltd., a Thailand subsidiary of SHEICO group. The partnership aims to invest in the recovered carbon black (rCB) business at the original site of Continental Carbon Company (CCC) Phenix plant, jointly developing the North American market for recovered carbon black. This new plant is scheduled to commence production in 2026, and expected to become one of the largest recovered carbon black plants in North America.

USTMA supports new legislation to boost tire retreading

The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) and its member companies stand in support of  H.R.8578, the Retreaded Truck Tire Jobs, Supply Chain Security and Sustainability Act introduced by U.S. Representatives Darin LaHood (R-IL) and Emilia Strong Sykes (D-OH). The bill would incentivize investments in retreaded commercial tires by providing tax credits for fleet purchases of U.S. retreaded commercial tires.

The innovative technologies applied in development of the tires are based on new knowledge obtained by collecting actual data and virtual data generated by simulations and then using AI’s predict, analyze and search functions.
