Yokohama Rubber obtains ‘Certificate of Rubber Fender Test Environment’

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announces that it obtained a “Certificate of Rubber Fender Test Environment” on January 23, 2026, after passing the rigorous examination under the “Rubber Fender Testing Environment Certification Program” conducted by Japan’s Specialists Center of Port and Airport Engineering (SCOPE). The certificate is proof that Yokohama Rubber conducts testing of marine rubber fenders manufactured and sold by the Company in a reliable environment using a system that prevents data fraud.

Arkema announces the ISCC PLUS certification of more than 70% of its coating facilities worldwide

Arkema added ten coating solutions production sites to the list of ISCC PLUS certificated facilities in 2025. To date, the Group has now obtained certification of more than 70% of its coating facilities worldwide, including those dedicated to advanced liquid resins, waterborne resins, rheology and specialty additives, powder resins, UV/LED/EB technologies and acrylic monomers. Akron delays demolition of former Firestone headquarters

Akron has requested an extension to respond to a dispute letter and will present several preservation and redevelopment options at a special Urban Design and Historic Preservation Committee meeting scheduled for Feb. 17.

City leaders are reviewing multiple concepts, including preserving parts of the historic structure or clock tower, incorporating historic elements into new construction, or relocating select features to another site. Final decisions will depend on cost, structural feasibility, and future redevelopment plans.
