Arburg’s history in Brazil dates back to 1988, when the Romi sales agency took over the marketing of Allrounder injection molding technology. The South American market developed so successfully that Arburg opened its own subsidiary in São Paulo in 2000. Its 25th anniversary was celebrated with customers and employees on 25 and 26 June 2025, in the presence of Managing Partner Juliane Hehl and Sales Director Tobias Baur from Arburg’s Lossburg headquarters.

Yokohama Tire releases new educational tire safety video series

Yokohama Tire is launching five new videos to help consumers learn more about tire safety and maintenance. The short videos are hosted by Christian Schauf, an avid off-roader/adventurer, who is also the founder and CEO of Uncharted Supply Company, a manufacturer of high-quality survival systems. The educational videos are being released in conjunction with the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association’s National Tire Safety Week initiative, which ran through July 4th.

Continental’s ultra-high-performance tires lead sales

Continental is continually expanding its strong position in the global market for ultra-high-performance (UHP) tires. UHP tires are technologically sophisticated, available in sizes from 18 inches and designed for safe and dynamic driving at high speeds. Between 2019 and 2024, the premium tire manufacturer sold around 15 percentage points more UHP tires in the passenger car and light truck segment worldwide. Over the same period, the share of sales of UHP tires for all Continental brands rose from 38 to 52 percent, and to 60 percent for the core Continental brand. Five years ago, this figure sat at 46 percent.
