Falken has unveiled the AZENIS RS820 – a new ultra-ultra-high-performance (UUHP) tire. The new pattern has been designed to offer responsive handling, balanced wet and dry grip and impressive feel on both road and track.

The Rebelle Rally, entering its eighth year, is the longest competitive off-road rally in the United States. The world-class event is an endurance competition for women that traverses over 2,500 kilometers through Nevada and California’s iconic terrain. Precision driving and navigation, not speed, are the ultimate goal. The competition is innovative and unique using maps, compass, roadbooks, and strategy – known as Rebelle Format. The CEOs of 10 leading tire manufacturers gathered this week to confirm a two-year Tire Industry Project (TIP) workplan focused on research and action for sustainability in the tire lifecycle, including tire-emission research and end-of-life tire management.

The Conti HSR 5 and Conti HDR 5 tires were developed in Fort Mill, SC, produced in the Mount Vernon, IL plant facility and tested in the company’s Proving Grounds in Uvalde, TX.

Yokohama Tire’s continually expanding GEOLANDAR® line has a new addition: the all-weather GEOLANDAR CV 4S®. The tire, which is engineered specifically for today’s most popular crossovers, smaller SUVs and minivans, is severe snow rated and is initially available in 32 sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches.

More sizes will arrive in early 2024, according to Drew Dayton, Yokohama’s senior product planning manager, consumer tires. “The new, long-lasting CV 4S is our first premium all-weather CUV/SUV tire,” he said. “Thanks to the CV 4S’ impressive size range and outstanding snow and ice breaking capabilities, drivers in this category have an excellent new option.
