The California Polytechnic University of Continuing Education is offering a 4-day university-accredited course offers a comprehensive overview of silicone elastomers. This course emphasis fabrication processes in injection molding liquid silicone rubber (LIM/LSR) and provides information on extrusion and calendering of high consistency silicone rubber (HCR). The class is uniquely formatted to show from start to end, the sequence of designing and fabricating with silicone rubber. Featured within this course is a one day “field trip” to M.R. Mold & Engineering during which attendees will experience manufacturing of LSR molding and tool design. The day will also introduce calendering and extrusion fabrication processes with silicone rubber.

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced the launch of a new street sports tire, the ADVAN NEOVA AD09, with sales beginning in Japan in February 2022 and gradually being expanded to Asia and North America. The tire will initially be available in 20 sizes, ranging from 275/30R20 97W XL to 165/55R15 75V, suitable for use on sports cars and the world’s most prestigious premium cars. Another 60 sizes, including 21-inch tires, will be added to the size lineup by the end of 2022.

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced that it will launch its ultra-high performance ADVAN Sport V107 as its new global flagship tire from Spring 2022. Sales will be launched successively in major markets around the world. The Company plans to introduce 30 replacement tire sizes, ranging from 305/35R23 111Y XL to 225/40ZR18 92Y XL, in Spring 2022, increasing the ADVAN Sport V107 size lineup, including original equipment (OE) sizes for new cars, to 43 sizes. The size lineup will be expanded gradually thereafter to 80 sizes, including OE tires, by the end of 2022.
