The Rubber Division, ACS offers a Rubber Technology Training Award for an individual already in the rubber industry seeking additional education and opportunities for advancement. The organization also has three $5,000 undergraduate scholarships available for students who wish to pursue a degree in rubber technology, polymer science or the chemical profession.

Myers will acquire Signature for a total consideration of approximately $350 million, subject to customary adjustments. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024 and to be neutral to slightly dilutive to US GAAP EPS in 2024, but then deliver EPS accretion of $0.20-$0.30 in 2025, $0.40 – $0.50 in 2026 and additional meaningful EPS accretion beyond 2026. Annualized run-rate operational and cost synergies of $8 million are expected to be fully captured by 2025.

They are currently manufactured in Asia and are commercially available globally.

Trelleborg has, through its business area Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, signed an agreement to acquire MNE Group, consisting of the companies Materials Nano Engineering and Materials Nano Solution. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.

Hankook Tire will invest approximately EUR 540 million in the project with target completion by 2027. The expansion will create about 450 new jobs. The Rácalmás plant is estimated to produce 2,380 units of TBR products daily, with a total annual estimate of 800,000 units upon completion. The Hankook Tire currently has eight production sites around the world with global capacity total of about 102 million tires per year.

On December 20th, the notice administrator in the South Carolina aqueous film-forming foam multi-district litigation (“AFFF MDL”) requested an extension until January 3, 2024, to file with the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina the list of public water systems that have opted out of the settlement class.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Companies have until December 22nd to exercise their walk-away rights based on the number of opt outs from the class. The Companies have sufficient insight into this process to determine that they remain in favor of the settlement and do not intend to exercise that right.
