Bridgestone and Tight End University (TEU) welcomed local youth to the annual TEU Summit in Nashville, Tenn., for a special day of learning and fun in support of literacy. To commemorate their third year of working together in service to the Nashville community, Bridgestone and TEU also announced a joint donation of $50,000 to four participating organizations and schools to bolster literacy initiatives.

The Rubber Division, ACS will be participating in the STEM Fair taking place during the All-American Soap Box Derby on July 22, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Akron, OH. The Division is looking for young professionals in our industry to volunteer with us at this event where we will be introducing the attendees to our industry through experiments, we will be conducting along with partner ACE Laboratories.

Join RDAbbot on August 15 – 18, 2023, in Barberton, Ohio, for “Manufacturing with Silicone Rubber,” a comprehensive workshop from a fabricator’s point-of-view.

Attendees of this four-day workshop will learn practical techniques, testing methods, and insights, plus equipment troubleshooting tips for processing silicone rubber, from industry professionals through a combination of classroom instruction and interactive workshops.

The companies will collectively establish and contribute a total of $1.185 billion to a settlement fund (“water district settlement fund”). Contribution rates will be consistent with the binding Memorandum of Understanding between the companies reached in January 2021, with Chemours contributing 50 percent (about $592 million), and DuPont (about $400 million) and Corteva (about $193 million) collectively contributing the remaining 50 percent. The settlement amounts will be funded by the companies in full and deposited into the water district settlement fund within ten business days following preliminary approval of the settlement by the Court.
