Yokohama Rubber posts record first-quarter sales

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced its business and financial results for the first quarter (January to March) of fiscal 2023. Profit attributable to owners of parent declined 4.4% from the same period of the previous year, to \9.7 billion; on a 2.4% decline in operating profit, to \13.2 billion; a 4.8% decline in business profit*, to \13.0 billion; and a 10.1% increase in sales revenue, to \204.3 billion.

Yokohama completes acquisition of Trelleborg Wheel Systems

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announces that on May 2, it has completed the acquisition of all outstanding shares of Trelleborg Wheel Systems Holding AB (hereinafter, TWS), a Swedish company engaged in the manufacture and sale of off-highway tires (hereinafter, OHT) for agricultural and industrial machinery, from Trelleborg AB, which was previously announced on March 25, 2022. From the second quarter of fiscal 2023, Yokohama Rubber’s consolidated accounts will include TWS, the estimated impact of which is currently under examination.

Greene Tweed to open new facility in Korea
