Continental opens new solutions center in Portugal

Tire manufacturer Continental has opened its new Solution Center in Lousado, Portugal on 20 April, 2023. In the presence of the employees, Christian Kötz, Head of the Tires group sector and member of the Executive Board of Continental AG, formally inaugurated the recently completed building. At the Solution Center, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the tire plant, cross-functional teams drive forward targeted digitalization topics. The company has enlisted specialists from the fields of IT, artificial intelligence and applied analytics, e-commerce and industrial engineering.

KraussMaffei’s new Munich plant completes first machine for US delivery

The new main plant of the KraussMaffei Group in Parsdorf, east of Munich, has started up successfully: The first machine, a GX 451-3000 injection molding machine, left the plant bound for Edinburgh (Indiana, USA). With the delivery of the first large machine produced in Parsdorf, the renewal of the plant landscape at KraussMaffei is almost complete after around three years. The relocation of the main plant and the corporate headquarters from the previous location in Munich-Allach to Parsdorf is one of the largest in the greater Munich area for decades. It is expected to be completed by the end of the current year.
