Mechanical Rubber materials certify to AMS3197 and AMS3198

Two of Mechanical Rubber’s open cell neoprene sponge materials have recently passed Aerospace Material Standards (AMS) testing. Compound MR35-141A-BK-06 meets the requirements for AMS3197, soft density with a Compression Deflection range of 1-4 PSI, tested at 25% compression, and MR35-142-BK-05 meets the requirements for AMS3198, medium density with a Compression Deflection range of 6-13 PSI tested at 25% compression.

PPG announced that its Architectural Coatings manufacturing sites in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Søborg, Denmark have received REDCert certification, which verifies the use of sustainable raw materials through a certified chain of custody.

REDCert uses the mass balance approach, a recognized method for attributing the sustainability value of certified inputs.
