Cabot Corporation announced it has achieved International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS certification at six of its facilities. Cabot currently has more ISCC PLUS certified sites than any carbon black manufacturer and has ambitions to expand certification throughout its global network. Sites currently certified include three reinforcing carbon facilities in Europe and the Americas as well as two masterbatch and compounding facilities* in Europe and the Company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa regional headquarters. Achieving ISCC PLUS certification furthers Cabot’s commitment to advancing circularity and traceability, helping its customers achieve their sustainability goals by delivering sustainable solutions at a global scale.

The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced that its Shinshiro-Minami Plant (in Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture) has begun production of its ADVAN Sport EV ultra-high-performance summer tire for premium electric vehicles (EVs) and other high-performance tires with electric power from a new proprietary solar panel power generation system put into official operation this August and renewable energy-generated electricity (hereafter, renewable-energy electricity) that the plant has been procuring since April.

Pyrowave announced that Michelin and Knauf Industries have successfully produced batches of finished elastomer and plastic products incorporating 100% styrene from plastic waste recycled in Canada using Pyrowave technology. The tests performed on the resulting elastomers demonstrated quality and intrinsic properties identical to those of elastomers made from virgin fossil-sourced materials.

Hillenbrand announced the appointment of Tamara (Tammi) Morytko as Senior Vice President, and President of the MTS operating segment. Ms. Morytko will oversee the operations of the three businesses in the segment – Milacron, Mold-Masters, and DME – and will lead the Company’s continued efforts to focus on share growth, product development, and operational efficiency.

Bridgestone Americas (Bridgestone) and Firestone Ag announced that Tony Orlando, President, Bridgestone Integrated Agricultural Tire Business, U.S. & Canada, Latin America (BSAM) and Europe, Middle East, India, Africa (BSEMIA), and Matt Frank, Director, Business Strategy, Customer Success, were among national honorees selected by the National FFA Organization to receive the Honorary American FFA Degree, the highest degree bestowed upon an individual by the FFA.
